PURPOSE OF THE PETITION
Unified Grassroots is collecting signatures to present a petition to the Saskatchewan government, in order to convince the government to enact legislature to make a citizen led referendum binding. To make the referendum binding, there must be 15% (approx. 125,000 eligible voters in Saskatchewan) that vote in favor of the referendum in order to force the government to hold a plebiscite vote. This vote would happen within 12 months of the Sk Prosperity Project presenting the required number of signatures to the government.
THE PLAN
Once the Saskatchewan government has changed the legislation, the SK Prospperity Project group will move forward to obtain legal signatures and when they have a minimum of 125,000 eligible voters, who support Saskatchewan’s sovereignty and are registered for the petition, they will present the petition for approval to the Saskatchewan government

RATIONALE FOR A SASKATCHEWAN REFERENDUM
Since joining Confederation on September 1, 1905, no Saskatchewan government has been able to fully protect the individual freedoms, economic rights, and self-determination of its people due to the persistent imbalance of power between the federal government and the province. Federal overreach has steadily eroded Saskatchewan’s constitutional authority — restricting our industries, interfering in provincial jurisdiction, and suppressing our provincial rights and resources.
This growing dysfunction demands a clear, democratic response from the people of Saskatchewan.
